Na dis: Old Town Hall through di Streets of Prague
About dis picture
Di story behind di frame
Na dis: Di Old Town Hall tower no reveal itself all at once from di surrounding streets. Here, it appears in fragments: first di dark roof above di buildings, then di clock face further below, caught between façades and di old street lamps. Dat partial see dey wetin interested me. Prague’s landmarks often feel different when they dey encountered away from di open space of di squares. Di tower dey still unmistakable, but from dis narrow street it belongs to di layers of di city rather than standing apart from them. Na dis: Di lamps seem almost as present as di tower itself, close enough to dominate di see while di centuries-old landmark remains in di distance. For a moment, di familiar symbol of Old Town becomes something discovered through di street around it: no a monument presented in isolation, but a piece of Prague appearing between buildings as di city gradually opens ahead.
