The story behind the frame

The golden figure feels almost too large for the street around it. Its long angular limbs rise above the crowd and curl around the old lamps, while people continue beneath it as if this strange presence has simply joined the daily movement of Prague. That contrast is what holds the moment together for me. The surrounding façades belong to the familiar architectural language of the city, but the sculpture refuses to disappear into that background. Its sharp geometry and metallic surface bring something unexpected into a streetscape shaped by older buildings and decorative details. At ground level, the crowd changes the feeling again. People pass, stop and gather around the figure, reducing the distance between public art and ordinary city life. For a moment, historic Prague becomes the setting for something deliberately unfamiliar, and the strange golden creature seems less like an object placed on the street than a temporary inhabitant of it.
