Privacy guide

Privacy, with clear boundaries.

This policy explains what information Europe In Frame uses, why it is needed and what you can control.

Europe In Frame is designed to let you explore before you identify yourself. Most editorial pages can be used without an account. When information is needed for a feature, we limit its use to that purpose and keep optional analytics behind your choice.

Who is responsible

Europe In Frame is a trading brand operated by Technollect s. r. o., Záhradnícka 4152/29, 811 07 Bratislava – Staré Mesto, Slovak Republic, Company ID 57 589 925. Technollect s. r. o. is responsible for the processing described in this policy.

Information you provide

If you create an account, contact us or make a purchase, you may provide information such as your name, email address, message, billing details and the order or licence you select. We use it to respond to you and provide the requested feature or service.

Accounts and secure access

Account identifiers and authentication information are used to sign you in, protect access and maintain account history. Session and refresh tokens may be stored in protected cookies. We do not intentionally expose your password or authentication tokens to public pages.

Orders, payments and delivery

When commerce is available, order, payment-status and delivery records are used to complete purchases, provide downloads and issue licence certificates. Stripe directly processes payment-entry data when its checkout is used; Europe In Frame receives the status and identifiers needed to fulfil and reconcile the order rather than full card details. Transactional email may be sent through Resend and can include account, recovery, order, delivery or licence information needed for the message.

Licence verification

A public certificate-verification result may display a certificate identifier, order reference, licensee name and licence details so that a licence can be checked. A token-protected certificate or delivery link can contain additional customer and order information and should be treated as confidential.

Local-first planning

Saved places, journey plans, travel styles, journal notes, traveller names, preferred cities, moods, profile details, cart contents, theme and privacy choice may be stored in your browser on the device unless an interface clearly says otherwise. Clearing this site’s browser storage removes those local copies from that browser, but it does not delete server-side account, order, payment or backup records.

Why we use information

We use information to provide requested services and perform contracts, meet legal obligations, protect the site and pursue legitimate interests in security and reliability. Optional analytics relies on your consent, which you can withdraw through the Privacy control at any time.

Essential technical data

Hosting and security systems may record technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page and request time. This information is used to deliver the site, diagnose faults, prevent abuse and keep the service reliable. The commerce database is also backed up to configured cloud storage for service continuity and recovery.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity are enabled only after you select “Accept analytics”. We use these services to understand visits and improve the website. They may use cookies and pseudonymous browser or session identifiers and process device and browser information. GA4 helps us understand traffic sources, page visits and interaction with our public content. Across all language versions, this includes views of photograph pages, use of photo-sharing and link-copying controls, and clicks on links to our social-media profiles. These actions do not confirm that a visitor published a post or followed an account. On eligible public pages in all language versions, GA4 may also load when a link contains recognised campaign parameters or a public section anchor. The page address supplied by our GA4 integration excludes query parameters and fragments. We use only reviewed traffic-source and campaign labels. Our custom interaction events do not include names, email addresses, payment details, account credentials or text entered into forms. Microsoft Clarity helps us understand page interactions through heatmaps and session replays. It has separate page-loading restrictions; the GA4 campaign-link handling described above does not extend Clarity’s collection. Neither analytics script is loaded on account, checkout, payment or order pages. You can reject optional analytics or change your choice through the Privacy control. Actions performed before consent are not replayed to GA4. If you accept while a photograph page remains open, that currently visible page may then be counted. Withdrawing consent does not automatically erase information already processed.

Partner services and external links

Travel-planning pages may include tools or links from partners such as Trip.com, Omio, DiscoverCars and Viator, and some map views can request resources from an external map provider. A Viator widget or link may receive the destination or search context used to select relevant experiences and process the visit under Viator’s own privacy terms. These services may also receive request metadata and information you enter into their tools under their own privacy terms. The analytics choice does not govern independent partner widgets or a partner site that you open. A partner transaction takes place on the partner’s service unless the page states otherwise.

Retention and protection

Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the relevant service, maintain required transaction or legal records, resolve disputes and protect the site. We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, while recognising that no online service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can decline or withdraw optional analytics, clear locally stored planning data and ask about information connected with your account or order. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive your personal data, and to object to certain uses. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
